OTTUMWA — Aidan T. Baumgartner, 10-year-old son of Thomas and Amanda Howard Baumgartner, died at 5:14 a.m. March 31, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City after a courageous battle with osteosarcoma cancer.
A fourth grade student at Horace Mann Elementary, Aidan was born September 24, 2004, in Ottumwa. He loved school and all of his teachers. He enjoyed football, baseball, music and playing video games. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Ron officiating. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Friday with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the family to be designated at a later date.
