Mary Knuth, 74, Minot, died Monday, August 10, 2015 in her home.

Mary Jane Rosseter was born August 2, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Sarah (Cook) Rosseter, in Cedar Falls, Wisconsin the youngest of eleven children. She was raised and educated in Cedar Falls.

Mary was united in marriage to Billy Micheels and together they had three children; William, Robert and Deborah. Billy passed away from a motor vehicle accident January 19, 1969, leaving Mary with two young children and an infant son to raise on her own.

Mary met Donald “Duck” Knuth in Wheeler, WI, where Don was working for the railroad. They were married on December 15, 1973 and went on to have a son, Donald Knuth, Jr. In 1980 the family moved and made their home in Minot, ND. Mary began working in housekeeping for Trinity – St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1994, and later for Trinity Nursing Home until her retirement three years ago. Mary’s husband, Duck, passed away December 22, 2013.

Mary enjoyed long walks, reading, playing bingo, fishing, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her three grandchildren. Mary’s children remember her as being quiet, shy, easy-going, patient, kind and honest. She will be deeply missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, son, Bobby Micheels, brothers, Rolland and Delbert, and sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Mabel, Alice, Margie, Beatrice, Louise, and Myrtle.

Funeral: Friday, August 14, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, Minot.

Interment: 2:00 pm at the Balfour Cemetery, Balfour, ND.

Visitation: Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home.
