Margaret E (Klaseus) Deutsch, age 89, of Mankato, died on December 25, 2018 at Region's Hospital in St Paul.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:30am at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-4:00pm at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

Margaret was born on December 6, 1929 in Mankato to Adolph and Lillian (Jay) Bartsch. Margaret was married to Franklin Klaseus for 26 years and he died in 1974. She was then married to Melvin Deutsch for 21 years and he died in 1997. Margaret worked various jobs throughout the years. She enjoyed trips to the Grotto and watching the Moondogs and the Minnesota Twins.

Margaret is survived by her children, Joseph Klaseus of North Mankato, Dennis (Betty) Klaseus of Visalia, CA, Duane Klaseus of St Peter, Georgia (Rand) Jackson of St Peter, Gladys Klaseus (Alvin Kline) of Waldorf, Sheila Gilsrud of North Mankato, and Brenda (Gene) Duncan of Granada; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Olson, Eunice (Egon) Mutzke, Mavis (Wayne) Anderson, Norma Strehlo, and Joan Schroeder; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Franklin and Melvin; son, Ed Klaseus; daughter, Darlene Morgan; son-in-law, Daniel Gilsrud; and daughter-in-law, Linda Klaseus.
