Mr. Jones was born in Lafayette, Ga., and had lived in Tacoma since 1922. He was a retired plumber for Berg-Griggs Plumbing Co. He was a former member of the Tacoma Elks, and of Joseph Warren Lodge 235 F&AM. He was a member of the Tacoma Rifle and Revolver Club, the National Rifle Association, the Tacoma Sportsmen Club, the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 82 and the Jehovah's Witnesses Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dollie) Swanson, of Tacoma; two sons, Wallace R., and Leonard B., both of Tacoma; two brothers, Dewey and Claude, both of Asheville, N.C.; a sister, Ruth, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
