Mr. Woodrow Wilson Dyer, age 88 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Union County Nursing Home.
Mr. Dyer was born Tuesday, April 23, 1918 in Union County, Georgia to the late Samuel Dyer and Sallie Reid Dyer. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and was preceded in death by wife, Mertie Lou Dyer and daughter, Gladys Patton.
Survivors include: daughters, Vivian Hedden and Lorene Odom both of Blairsville, Ga, grandchildren, Wayne Odom, Cerelda deHeus, Chris Odom, Avis Hayes and Jackie Yost, great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Timothy Yost, Amy and Melissa Odom, Jessie and Chelsea Odom and Kimberly deHeus.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. from the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Stacy Dyer and Rev. Benny Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Tuesday, June 27.
