Travis was born to Rick and KayeLynn Bastian. He was an Eagle Scout and he graduated from Viewmont High School in 1996 where he excelled in golf and tennis. After high school Travis served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Houston South Spanish speaking mission. Upon returning from his mission Travis graduated from Southern Utah University with a BA in Communications. Upon graduating from college Travis began a career in sales and marketing and is employed with KJZZ. Travis is a member of the University 43rd Ward in Salt Lake. Travis is known for working hard, playing hard, loving every minute of life, finding someone to tease and making people wait. In his car at the time of the accident were his golf clubs, basketball, softball mitt, football and volleyball. His beautiful body loved sports and he excelled at everything he played. He is now returning home with honor! He is survived by his parents Rick and KayeLynn, his sister Chelsa Johnson (Jeff), his brothers Cody (Katie) and Tyler, his niece Kennedi, his Granny and his Grandma and Grandpa. Travis died in a tragic car accident along with his little sister Desi on their way home from a family trip to Lake Powell. He was 28.
