Mrs. Rhoda Nisbet, widow of Robert B. Nisbet, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. A. Carpenter, 312 N. Madison Street at 6:30 this morning of paralysis of the spine, aged 81 years. She had been in ill health for the past eight months. Mrs. Nisbet was born in Lee Center, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Elijah Ward. In April 1846 she was married to Mr. Nisbet, whose death occurred about eight years ago. Her entire life had been spent in the town of Lee until the death of her husband, when she came to Rome to reside. She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Mrs. O. A. Carpenter, Ward H. and R. Bruce Nisbet of Rome, and two brothers, John Ward of Camden, and Clark Ward, who lived in the west. Mrs. Nisbet was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Lee Center.
