Anna L. (Vehec) Abaray, 79, of West Homestead, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006. Mrs. Abaray was a retired operator and former union representative for Bell Atlantic, past president of Branch 628 and past vice president of the Pittsburgh District of the First Catholic Slovak Union, past president of the Western Pennsylvania Slovak Radio Hour and a member of the Western Pennsylvania Slovak Cultural Association, the Slovak Day Committee and the St. Maximilian Ladies Guild.

Beloved wife of the late John. Sister of Elizabeth (Albert) Belan, of Jefferson Hills and the late Mary (Michael) Ezak, Helen (Stephen) Marcinko and Joseph (Helen), Michael (Mary Ann) and Thomas (C. Sue) Vehec. Dear friend of Mary Ann Frena. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish with the Rev. John Harvey officiating. Entombment in the Calvary Cemetery mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
