Mrs. Haines was born February 20, 1886 in Franklin Township, a daughter of the late John and Eliza Harris Phillips. Her husband, Charles L. Haines, died January 3, 1931.
She lived her entire life in Waynesburg and Franklin Township. She was a member of the Coallick United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women of the church, the Lady Greene Rebecca Lodge 385. For 32 years she was matron of the Curry Home and retired March 30, 1964.
Surviving are her two daughters, three sons, and nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was the last of her immediate family.
A son, Charles (Junie) Haines and two sisters are deceased.
