ROACH Marguerite Sarrat Roach, age 90, passed away at Poydras Home on Monday, October 10, 2011. She was surrounded by all of her children. Marguerite was the wife of the late Benjamin Roach for fifty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Haydee Sarrat, and all of her siblings: George Sarrat, Haydee Carambat, Walter Sarrat, Audrey Farrell, Alan Sarrat, and Helen Schindler. Marguerite was the mother of Linda Dunn (Bill), Susan Tiblier (Sidney), Richard Roach (Nancy), Nina Boasso (Larry), and Elizabeth Guillory (Brian). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Troy Tiblier, Christopher Tiblier, Benjamin Tiblier, William Dunn, Timothy Dunn, Julie Moss, Benjamin Roach, Ted Boasso, Adrienne Boasso, Pierre Guillory, Jacques Guillory, and six great-grandchildren. Marguerite was a life long resident of New Orleans, LA. After her children were grown, she and Ben spent many years traveling the world. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. She will be missed. The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Poydras Home staff. They made Marguerite's final days comfortable and peaceful. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at Poydras Home, 5354 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Louisiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association the Poydras Home Employee's Fund at the above address.
