Lucille Denato
OTTUMWA – Lucille M. Denato, 66, of Golden Arrow Trailer Court died at 3:40 p.m. Nov. 8, 1990, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born Jan. 18, 1924, in Chariton to John Alfred and Ida Belle Anderson Coons. She married Joe Denato on July 19, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nev.
A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had been employed at Ottumwa Bowling Lanes and was a member of Ottumwa Women’s Bowling Association. She was inducted into the Ottumwa Bowling Hall of Fame on Monday and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Chariton.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Cheryl A. Myers of Bethany, Mo., and Roxanna Bibby of Fremont, Neb.; a son, Bradley G. Myers of Pleasant Valley, Mo.; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a stepson, Craig Denato of Ottumwa; a stepdaughter, Cathy Sipes of Chicago, Ill.; three step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Raymond Coons of Chariton and Lawson Coons of Lemar, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennie Hollingshead and Stella Shelton.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Revs. Nolan and Gene Kelsey officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Craig Denato, Jim and Joe Coons, Bill and Larry Shelton and Shirley Steele.
Memorials may be made to Ottumwa YABA, American Cancer Society or the Bethany YABA.
