DARLINGTON - Johnny T. Gainey, 64, of Darlington died on Sunday, August 9, 2015.Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2 PM in Grove Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Allen Lynch and directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his son, Johnny Eugene Gainey, 1916 Green Street, Darlington.

Johnny was born in Darlington, South Carolina. He was the son of the late, Tollie Gainey and Toie Watford Gainey. Johnny was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his children, Johnny Eugene Gainey (Jean Marie) of Darlington, Ray Gainey (Melissa Player) of Darlington, and Jane Nobles of Hartsville; 5 grandchildren;1 great grandchild; his brothers, James Gainey, Robert Gainey, Pete Gainey all of Darlington and Ronnie Gainey of Hartsville; and his sisters, Sally Windham of Lamar, and Ruby Gandy of Darlington.
