Charles Lincoln "Doc" Larry, 82, of Middleburg, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Memorial Gables, Marysville. He was born February 12, 1933 in Mingo, Ohio, the son of the late Alfred Lee and Mildred Vaughn (Johnson) Larry.

Doc retired from Grimes, Urbana as a computer programmer. He owned and operated the East Liberty Grocery alongside his wife. When they sold the grocery store, Doc went to work at McAuliffe's Ace Hardware Store. He worked there until he was 80 years old when he left due to his health. Doc enjoyed coin collecting, mushroom hunting, and anything involving the Civil War. He also loved watching the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.

Doc is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Ellen (Watkins) Larry of Marysville; his daughters, Becca Dillon of Middleburg, Nancy Larry (Randy Stuart) of North Lewisburg, Jayne Barnes of Marysville, and Alexis (Jeff) Scheiderer of East Liberty; his son, Shane (Sabra) Larry of Zanesfield; his nine grandchildren, Jennifer Laird, Stephanie Ballard, Grant Foreman, Meghann (Larry) Steele, Emily Barnes, Katie (Barnes) Arnold, Ross Barnes, Zane Scheiderer, and Yale Scheiderer; his seven great grandchildren, Dennis Williams, Jackson Foreman, Evan Laird, Chloe Ballard, Reagan Foreman, Harrison Steele, and Elias Garcia; his sister, Janet Inskeep of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Yale Larry; his brother, Sherman Larry; his sister, Mable Wayman; and his son-in-law, Chris Dillon.

A memorial service to celebrate Doc's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Quest Community Church, West Liberty, with Pastor Bill Walker and Pastor Jim Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Middleburg Cemetery. Services are entrusted to FRESHWATER, MCDONALD, & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg.
