Dickie Moore, age 77, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Dickie was born on Friday, September 3, 1937 in Montezuma, GA to the late James T. Moore and the late Myrtice Cannon Moore. He served in the National Guard. Dickie made many new friends through the years as he delivered mail and shared his vegetables and recipes.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra McWaters Moore; daughters, Vickie Moore and Sonya Moore; brother, Bobby Moore; and sisters, Betty Winzeler and Peggie Mackey.
Dickie is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maria and P-nut Barnes; sister and brother-in-law, Cherry and Marvin Thomas; 4 grandchildren, Keith and Rebecca Wood, Dale and Jessica Wood, Cassie Barnes, Jodi and Mitch Nelson; 7 great-grandchildren, Meghan, Gracie, Tristian, Damien, Nevaeh, Raiden, and Drayson; brother-in-law, Bobby Mackey; sister-in-law, Ruby Kate Moore; a large number of nieces and nephews.
Following Dickie’s wishes, the family will hold by a private Celebration of Life.
