ROE, Charles L. “Charlie”, age 86 of Dayton, OH, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015.

He was born June 1, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH.

Charlie proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended The University of Dayton and was a graduate of Ohio University Class of 1959. Charlie was employed as a salesman in the packaging industry. He was an avid golfer and model railroader. Charlie was a member of Miami Valley Golf Club, La Sertoma and Crossroads Train Club of Vandalia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Roe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Andrea “Andy” (Hogberg); daughter, Mary Beth Lynch; 3 grandchildren, Nicholaus (Ashley Jonas) Arnold, Jessica (Ryan Hughes) Johnson-Hughes and David (Racheal) Johnson, Sr.; Joseph Busch; 6 great-grandchildren, Logan and Jacob Busch, David Johnson, Jr, Lillian, Scarlett and Nicholas Hughes; sister, Phyllis Ruth; many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr., Dayton, OH 45415.

The family will receive visitors 10:30-11:30 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton or a charity of one’s choice. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com
