Florence was the daughter of Harry and Mary Alice Briggs Riley. She passed on at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway

She married Arthur Seaton Bellwood April 19, 1935 and they enjoyed life together for 66 years. They moved to Oxford in 1946, where they made their home for the remainder of their lives. A graduate of Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen, MA, and Cannon Business School in Lawrence, MA, she worked as a secretary for a law firm in Lawrence, MA and then as a secretary and bookkeeper for Robinson Mfg. Company until her retirement in 1972. She was an active member of the Oxford Congregational Church, singing in the church choir until her retirement. She enjoyed family activities, especially cookouts and camping trips with her grandchildren. She enjoyed needle work and crafts and was an avid reader. Mrs. Bellwood is survived by a son, Arthur and his wife, Ann, of Oxford; four grandsons, James and Jeffrey of Oxford, John of Retzsdat, Germany and Joseph of Hampden; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Cora Hayden, of Oxford; a niece and nephew and a grand nephew and several grand nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur S. Bellwood.
