He retired in 1976 from Goodyear Aerospace, where he was a union steward. He was named a Kentucky Colonel in 1983. He was a member of the Eastland Mall walkers.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Marguerite L. Burklow; three daughters, Anna Vibbert, Marion Dennis and Shirley Papp; a son, William Burklow Jr.; a sister, Ila Todd; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Richard Clifton officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery
