She was dubbed Sister by her family, and was called Frances as an adult.
She met and married Willie Leroy (Bill) Barnes and they were blessed with the following children:
- Edward Barnes (1924 - ?)
- Ellen May Barnes (1925 - 1935)
- William Sidney Barnes (1928 - 1979)
- Dorothy Nan Barnes (1931 - ?)
- Lena Joyce Barnes (1936 - 1936)
- Tommy Melvin Barnes (1944 - 2009)
Frances & Bill made their home in Dallas, Texas, USA and they owned Barnes Grocery Store.
I always thought that Sister was just so beautiful. She was so graceful and pretty...somewhat quiet. I didn't get to see their family much, as she was my Mother's Aunt and they didn't come to many of the family gatherings - but, it was nice to see them when we did.
Sadly, Sister passed away on September 25, 1977 in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, USA.
Rest In Peace, Sister - My Great Aunt.
