BRIEF NEWS NOTES DOWN PROVO WAY

PROVO, Utah, Sept 15 -- The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Atherly was buried this afternoon from the Second ward meeting-house. The child was brought Monday from Bear River, Utah, where in some manner or other she fell upon a piece of steel, which penetrated through the mouth to the spinal cord.

Funeral services were held this afternoon in the Second ward meeting house over the remains of Ethel Irene, the 2-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Atherly of Bear River, who died at Bear River Tuesday. The cause of the child's death was peculiar. The little girl, a few days ago, fell upon a piece of steel, which entered her mouth, and through her mouth is supposed to have entered the spinal cord.
