Daughter of Jeremiah & Harriet Donovan. Emma never married.

Miss Emma D. Donovan of Flax Hill Road, died this morning at her home after several months of illness. Miss Donovan was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Harriet Kane Donovan. Her father was a U.S. Congressman, a State Representative and also served as Mayor of Norwalk.

Miss Donovan was born in Norwalk and was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She received her education in Canada and it was known that she anonymously gave generously to charity. Miss Donovan devoted her time to her father while he was in Washington D.C. and traveled extensively abroad. After Mr. Donovan's death, she led a retired life.
The funeral will be held from the Collins Funeral Home on Monday morning at 8:30, followed by a solemn requiem Mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery.
