She worked at Foster Forbes until her retirement in 1975. She was past president of the Women's League of Eagles and REACT. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, playing BINGO and her birds.

Begley of Silver Lake, Indiana, Maxine Warford (Doug) of Wabash, Indiana, and Diana Wilson (Tony) of Marion, Indiana, 5 grandchildren, Tracy L. Haney, Shawn McClanahan, Travis Ricks, Tricia Wilson and Brian Wilson & 2 great-grandchildren, Terrence & Lavon Haney.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Mardell Brandyberry.
