John Chesshir, 85, funeral will be held Wednesday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery. He died Saturday at his home in Norfolk. He was born June 11, 1863 at South Olive, Ohio. He was in Iowa and then moved to Quinn, South Dakota where he homesteaded. He came to Norfolk 15 years ago to stay with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Long. He has been sick nearly 4 months. He was survived by 2 sons: Winfred of Norfolk, William of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 1 daughter Mrs. Long, 1 brother Melvin of Corona, California; 1 half sister Mrs. Eva Leonard of Elkhart, Indiana.
