Barbara J. Krouse, age 65 of Spring Valley, passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015 in the Miami Valley. She was born October 7, 1949 in Santa Rita, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Alton and Melva Jean (Bateman) Walston. Barbara was a member of the LifeWay Pentecostals Church and Daughters of Zion prayer ministry. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, singing and playing the piano. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Glenn; four children, Nathaniel (Trisha) Krouse, Timothy (Jessica) Krouse, Philip (Lisa) Krouse, and Rebecca (Joseph) Hickey; ten grandchildren, Raymond, Nathan, Lillian, Dawson, Isabella, Kenley, Lila, Kaden, Carter, and Greyson; a grandson Jetzen due in August; sister, Paula Scheetz; brother, Gary Walston; as well as nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 20, in the Lifeway Pentecostals Church, 2446 Trebein Rd., Xenia, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 12:30 P.M., Pastor Ken Dillingham officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at thelifewaychurch.net, there will be a special tab for this occasion.
