Wilma Amanda Efaw, 87, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, October 6, 2007, in Conway Medical Center, Conway, S.C., following a brief illness.

She was born May 21,1920, in Washington, a daughter of Elzie and Essie Scott Throckmorton.

Mrs. Efaw retired after 35 years of service as a licensed practical nurse at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her family.

Surviving are a son, Larry R. Efaw and wife Helen of Allentown, N.J.; two daughters, Patricia Myers and husband Christopher of Charlotte, N.C., and Lynne Leimkuehler of Conway, S.C.; five grandchildren, Mark Efaw, Robert Efaw, Rick Soltys, Joel McDowell and Michelle Lavender; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Throckmorton and wife Billie of Waynesburg; and nieces Connie and Linda.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband of 70 years, Harry Efaw; a sister, Alicia Rosser; a brother, Raymond Throckmorton; and a son, Robert Thomas Efaw, who was killed in the Vietnam War.
