Arthur Lee “Buddy” George age 87 of Dardanelle died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born July 2, 1928 at Dardanelle to the late Virgil and Sarah Meadows George. He was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ, Dardanelle VFW Post Boyce-Woods #3141 and was owner/operator of George trucking for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon George and Charles George.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Patsy Ward George of Dardanelle; two sons, Mark George, Jamie George; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Bright and husband Russell all of Dardanelle; one sister, Carolyn McElroy of Dardanelle; three grandchildren, Nick and Taylor George, April and Anthony Thomesen, Greg and Jennifer Judkins; five great grandchildren, Josten Rudder, Chris and Hunter Thomesen, Addy and Emma Judkins; one great great grandchild, Jontaye Cummings; five nephews; three nieces and a special buddy, Mickey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Mark Auten and Bro. Ralph Weinhold officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be Ike Freeman, Joe Lane, Alex Reed, Anthony Thomesen, David Ward, John Woodson.
