Kimberly Ann Gibbons passed away on August 14, 2015 at Hitz Nursing Home in Alhambra, Illinois. She was born on March 15, 1963 to Harold and Patsy Hamilton. She married Preston Gibbons in September 1983. They had three sons, Jason, Brandon and Derek. She accepted Christ as her Savior in 1994 when she joined the Baptist Church in East Alton. She graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 1981 in Bethalto. Kim held many jobs during her lifetime, however, her favorite job was at the Argosy Casino. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Kim was a loyal, loving daughter, wife, mother, cousin and friend to many. She always felt her greatest achievements were her children. Kim is survived by her husband, Preston Gibbons; her sons, Jason Gibbons and Derek Gibbons; four grandchildren, Emily, Jared, Braxton, Kynlie and Brayden; her siblings, Deanna Hamilton (Kato), Tammy (David) Forsythe, Donnie Hamilton and Larry (Shelby) Hamilton; her nieces and nephews; a special daughter-in-law, Misty Gibbons and her mother-in-law, Mary E. Gibbons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Patsy Hamilton, a son, Jason Gibbons and a sister, Sherri Hamilton Kelso. A memorial service will be at 10 am Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Bethalto United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Richard officiating. Memorials may be made to the family. Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
