Marilyn Ann Peterson, 84, passed away August 12, 2015 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1931, in Menominee, Mich., daughter of the late Emil and Anna (Miller) Borths.

Marilyn graduated from Menominee High School in 1949.

She married Allan A. Peterson and the couple celebrated 61 years of marriage. She lived in Menominee, Marinette and in Peshtigo since 1961.
Marilyn worked at Vernco/Emerson (Sears) Electric in Menominee as a product quality auditor for over 20 years. She loved to travel around the United States with her family and camp with the local Camping Association. She and her family spent great times at their Moon Lake cabin in Land O’ Lakes.

In 1982, Marilyn contracted MS (multiple sclerosis) and had the difficult life of increased disability with being wheelchair bound, with her husband caring for her and all her needs throughout the decades.
Before her disability, she loved to dance, golf, ice skate, roller skate and bowl on leagues. Marilyn was a member of Peshtigo Women’s Club and enjoyed playing cards with friends and relatives. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo and knew and loved the Lord.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Allan; a daughter, Patricia “Patti” Peterson-Bilotto of Green Bay, WI;

Along with her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by four brothers: Emil Jr., Roger, Dan and George.

“My mother was very strong to handle her severe disability over the years and my Dad was faithful and devoted to her care.”
