Found in The State 17 August 1967: Mrs. C. B. Broom, 80, 213 South Harden St., died Wednesday afternoon in Columbia Hospital. Mrs. Broom, the former Sarah Klugh, was a native of Abbeville and had lived in Columbia for a number of years. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, J. D., Columbia, and Alston Broom, Fayetteville, N. C.; a sister, Mrs. Emmie Young, North Charleston, and three brothers, A. M., Columbia, R. P., Union, and W. W. Klugh, Greenville.

Found in The State 18 August 1967: Services for Mrs. Charles B. Broom will be at 11 a.m. today in Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel. Active pallbearers will be R. j. McCormack, Claude McCormack, Irvin L. Eleazer, Jason L. Brown, Hampton Irby and William A. Smith. Mrs. Broom, 80, of 216 South Harden St., died Wednesday in Columbia Hospital.
