Mrs. Broom, the former Sarah Klugh, was a native of Abbeville and had lived in Columbia for a number of years. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, J. D., Columbia, and Alston Broom, Fayetteville, N. C.; a sister, Mrs. Emmie Young, North Charleston, and three brothers, A. M., Columbia, R. P., Union, and W. W. Klugh, Greenville.
