Barry Lynn Dodson, age 62, was a graduate of Bessemer State Technical College , was employed by Southern Company Services and Alabama Power for 35 years as a draftsman and electrical designer. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church for 40 years, served as chairman for several years, worked with the Boy Scouts and was district commissioner and helped organize a back-packing trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He rode a motorcycle and was a member of the Southern Cruisers who rode to Key West and back.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed both bow, rifle and shotgun hunts, a former member of Graysville Gun Club. He lived in Pleasant Grove for 35 years and the last 5 in Wilsonville. His quirky sense of humor and his hugs and devotion will be missed.
