Loren Albert Canfield, 86 of Northfield, MN (formerly of Cannon Falls),died Oct 27, 1998 at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield where he had resided for three years. He was born 22 July 1912 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Lloyd and Oma Canfield. When he was 7 years old, his family moved to Artesia, SD. He served with the US Air Force in WWII. He married June Blacksten June 15, 1946 in Mitchell, SD. They lived in California fo 3 years and then moved to Mount Vernon, SD where he owned and operated Canfield's Blacksmith Shop. After an illness, he became custodian at Cannon Falls, MN High School in 1968 to 1977. Survivors include: his wife, June; one son, Randy of Farmington, MN; daughter Pam (Don) Hon of Northfield; three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Canfield in death was an infant son, Loren Jr., two sisters, Mary Page and Vera Bradford and one brother, Glen. A Memorial service was held on Friday at Lundberg Funeral Home of Cannon Falls.
