GLOUSTER, May 6--Mrs. Matilda Skinner, 77, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Craig in this city Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock following a lingering illness. For many years the family home was at Derthick, Mrs. Skinner moving to this city with her son, Bert, a few years ago.
She is survived by six children--Mrs. Eva Lewis, Mrs. A.J. Craig, Mrs. R.W. Jones, Bert Skinner, this city; T.B. Skinner and Mrs. Jennie Hoods, Columbus. She also leaves 38 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Three sons--Robert, Joseph and A.C. Skinner--preceded her in death. Her husband, the late Robert M.[sic] Skinner, died 21 years ago while the family home was at Derthick.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Craig and burial will be made in Glouster Cemetery.

Matilda A. "Tilda" Martindale married Robert H. Skinner on Jan 8, 1863 in Vinton County, Ohio.
