Franklin S. Adamson, 52, of 720 Maris died Friday at 8 p.m. at his home.
A construction worker by trade, he was born June 28, 1922, in Ottumwa, the son of Roy and Tillie Bailey Adamson.
He was a lifetime resident of Ottumwa and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Robert and Franklin Adamson both of Ottumwa; one daughter, Rosalie Smith of Ottumwa; five grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
The funeral service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by the American Legion. Members of the Legion will serve as pallbearers.
