Tip Foster is the son of Leonard Allie Foster and Zona A. (Goolsby) Foster. His wife is Alma (Simmons) Foster.

His children are Clifford R. Foster, Jr. who died at birth, Dorothy May (Foster) Newcomer, and Stanley L. Foster. All his children and his wife are buried here at Bethel Cemetery.

Services for Clifford R. "Tip" Foster were held in the Avoca Baptist Church. Born in Bell County, he died in the Anson hospital. He married Alma Frances Simmons on 21 November 1926 in Anson, Texas. The couple moved to Avoca in 1928. Mr. Foster was a member of Avoca Baptist Church and for many years served as a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and chair of the Church Finance Committee with the church building was constructed. He was the oldest deacon of the church. He was active in school affairs and was a Trustee of the Avoca School district for several years. He was preceded in death by two sons; one daughter; three brothers; five sisters. Survivors include his wife; two sisters.
