Billy E. Lansford, 83, of Millington, Mich., formerly of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away at St. Mary's of Saginaw early Thursday morning, Aug. 20, 2015.
Billy was born Nov. 16, 1931, at Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of the late Johnny and Gladys Eggers Lansford.
In March 1951 Billy married Miss Elizabeth Deeds and together they have celebrated 64 years of marriage. Billy retired from Fisher-1 of Saginaw Street of the General Motors Division, after 30 years of employment. While working for GM, Billy also served 19 years as district committee representative for his fellow workers. Billy loved to hunt, fish, travel and take vacations (as long some fishing could be worked in to the plan). Billy, along with Elizabeth, were longtime members of the Otisville Church of Christ.
Billy leaves his wife Elizabeth, two sons, Robert "Bob" and Rick Lansford, and a daughter, Rhonda and husband Al Jordon. He also leaves 14 grand-children, 15 great-grand-children, two sisters, Joann Crocker and June Gilbert, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a son, Russell Lansford, in October 2012.
Funeral services were at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington. Burial was in Gunnell Cemetery in Arbela, Mich.
