Woodrow W. Rose, 85, of Louisville, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, IN. He was born in Mystic, KY, in Breckinridge County on September 6, 1918, to the late Robert Lee and Lillie Mae Eskridge Rose. He attended Adair Assembly of God Church and retired from American Standard. He was an Army veteran of World War II where he was a tank gunner and received the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Etta Mae Smoot and Mary "Lizzie" Hibbs; a brother, Charles Rose; and his longtime companion, Bessie Stitch
