Funeral services for A. B. Bogan, 77, of Boling, Texas will be Monday, April 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Pledger, Texas with the Rev. E. Bonner Pastor and the Rev. W. W. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery in Pledger. A. B. will lie in state at the church Monday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Green's Mortuary.
A. B. Bogan was born to the union of Joseph and Mary Jane Matthews Bogan on January 9, 1924 in Wharton, Texas.
He passed away at his residence on March 28, 2001 in Boling, Texas.
He is survived by: two daughters; two sons; four sisters; two brothers; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
His parents preceded him in death, also a sister, Leola Bogan and a brother, Clifford Bogan.
Active pallbearers are Raymond Jackson, Roosevelt Bogan, Roy Jackson, Norman Miller, Ernest Bogan, Jr., Carlton Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest Bogan, Nazareth Stanley, William Small, and Elijah Smith.
Greens Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
