Mrs. Amy Frances Ackiss, aged 75, widow of J.W. Ackiss, of Creeds, Princess Anne County, died at her residence 838 Windsor avenue, last night at 9:30 o'clock. She is survived by seven sons, J.N., J.H, O.L., A.B., C.C. and D.W. Ackiss, all of Norfolk and J.W. Ackiss, of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. E.L. Whitehurst, of Norfolk; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Ackiss was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 18 years. She was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in the family cemetery, Oak Grove, Princess Anne County.
