Jewell’s friend, Paul Sullivan, had this to say, “Jewell was a fixture to the streets of Cave City. He loved to walk, sit in the city park, stop by the business places to chat, or just peck on the window as he walked by. He loved going to church and worshiping the Lord. He also enjoyed cutting up and laughing; he had a unique and special brand of humor. He loved country music and liked to sing.” He had a collection of pocket watches that he enjoyed showing to his friends.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Middleton, Cave City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, August 26th at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM, Tuesday 9 AM to 8 PM and Wednesday from 9 AM until time of services."
