Funeral services for life long Wewoka resident David Lee Conley Sr. are scheduled for Fri. June 23 at 1 p.m. at Springs Baptist Church in Sasakwa with Rev. Frank Moppin and Mickey Charles Conley officiating. He died Wed., June 21 at the Okla. Heart Hospital in Okla. City.
Wake Services will be held on Thurs., June 22 at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka with T.J. Fixico officiating.
Conley was born on Feb. 10, 1952 in Wewoka to Hillard and Irene (Spencer) Conley. He married Nancy Harris on Dec. 24, 1971 in Wewoka. He served in the Army National Guard, 1st BN 160th FA and received an honorable discharge on Dec. 18, 1979. He was baptized Oct. 21, 1984 at Springs Baptist Church by Rev. George Jesse.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister June Riley.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; son David Conley Jr. and wife Teresa of Wewoka; daughter, Renee Snodgrass and husband Corky of Wewoka; brother, Mickey Charles Conleyand wife Carolyn of Wewoka; sister, Frances Scott and wife Ron of Shawnee; half-brother, Kenneth Conley and wife Carol of Petaluma, Calif.; grandchildren, Conner Conley, Marlene Scott, Gerran Scott of Wewoka, Angel Scott of Cordell; and one great-grandchild, Shyanne Donovan of Cordell.
Pallbearers will be Art Garner, Phillip Whitlock Sr., Tommy Johnson, Wilburn Johnson, Chico Sneed, and Jason Childers.
Honorary bearers will be the brothers-in-law: Larry Harris, Charles Harris, David Wayne Harris Sr., Roy Dean Harris, Sammy Harjo, and Edward Giles.
Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
