Lodi Matron Passes After Heart Attack
Mrs. Katie Colridge, 226 N School Street, passed away suddenly at her home late last night following a heart attack.
A native of Ohio, Mrs. Colridge was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Colridge had a group of friends in for the evening for a card party at her home at 226 N School Street. As the grop was taking its leave, Mrs. Colridge reached for a shelf to show some keepsakes and then suddenly crumpled. Ill for the past few years, she had succumbed to a heart attack.
44-Year Resident
For the past 44 years, Mrs. Colridge had been a resident of this area, interrupted by a ten-year period in which she lived near Placerville with her husband, the late Everett F. Colridge, a rancher. Following his death several years ago she returned to Lodi to make her home.
She was a member of the Women's Relief Corps and attended the First Congregational Church.
Mrs. Colridge was the mother of Charles Colridge of Oakland and Mrs. Ruth Manhire of Monterey. She was the grandmother of Jule Colridge of Oakland and Dickie and Ronnie Manhire of Monterey.
Mrs. Colridge was the sister of Mrs. A.J. Coe, Sr. of Acampo, George W. Dyer of Lodi and Jess C. Dyer of Dayton, Ohio.
In addition, she is survived by her nephews, Arthur Coe, Jr., George Coe, Warren Coe, Herbert Coe, all of Lodi; Raymond Coe of Santa Cruz; and by a niece, Mrs. Maybell Micklis of San Francisco.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Lodi Funeral Home.
