Barry M. Allmond, Altoona, died at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born in Altoona, son of Ermine and Grace (Chambers) Allmond. His father preceded him in death. He married Candace L. Hileman May 14, 1993, in Winchester, Va. Mr. Allmond was a knitter mechanic at Warnaco Sportswear. He was a member of VFW Post 3, a graduate of Altoona High School and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers play and gardening; and he loved his cats. Barry is survived by his wife, Candace; two daughters: Dana and Tracey; a son, Barry T; 8 grandchildren; a brother, William; a sister, Debbie. A daughter, Tammy Lynn Allmond, preceded him in death.
