Longtime Wewoka resident June Isabel Berryhill, passed away June 27, at the age of 87 at Holdenville.
She was born January 9, 1919 at Eldorado, Kansas to Robert Dock Walker and Margaret Anseline (Daniels) Walker. She attended school Liberty Mounds School.
Isabel and Harold J. Berryhill were married February 24, 1934, at Sapulpa. She was a homemaker and the mother of six children. She received her nursing license and was a chart nurse. Isabel was a member of Sasakwa Baptist Church. Her hobbies were square dancing, fishing, and cooking, she published her own cookbook Grandma Izzy's Old Tin Lizzy.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sat., July 1, at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Meridith Robinson officiating and interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Harold Berryhill, daughter June Adair, grandchildren Mike Edmondson, Tracy Edwards, and Jerry Don Adair, two brothers Louis Allen Walker, Archibald Lafayette Walker, sister Margaret Angeline and sister-in-law Frankie Walker.
Survivors include her daughters Clara Wilson, Abilene, Tex., Wanda Davis, Wewoka, Frances Berryhill, Wewoka, Lynn Wilson, Holdenville; son Harold Doc Berryhill, Hearn, Tex.; her sister Roberta Brown, Tulsa; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Pauline Bossler, Yuma, Ariz., Lola Hayden, Tyler, Tex., Dorothy Berryhill, Wewoka and Clara Simpson, Arlington, Tex.
Services were under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
