Funeral services for William Franklin "Willie" Jimmerson 82 of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Tyler Tabernacle 3115 E 5th St with Rev. Mike Littlefield officiating. Burial is in Whitehouse Cemetery, Whitehouse.

Mr. Jimmerson passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015, in Tyler.

William Franklin "Willie" Jimmerson also known to family and friends as "Gaga" was born on in the Dirgin Community in Rusk County, Texas on June 6, 1933 to the late Angus E. Jimmerson and Vara Allred Jimmerson. Willie married his beloved wife of 63 years, Velma Beatrice Roberson on Dec. 12, 1952. Completing his life on Earth and continuing his walk with the Lord on Aug 21, 2015 at his home in Tyler with his wife, family and friends by his side. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1950 and joined his father in running the local sawmill. Shortly after he was married he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country. Upon his return, he relocated to Tyler, Tx where he started his family and they raised their two daughters. Willie worked and retired from USI Film/Bonar Packing as a maintenance engineer. Willie had a passion for the Lord, his grandsons and gardening, growing much of his own fruit and vegetables. He devoted much of his time to his church, Tyler Tabernacle, where he was a faithful member and contributed his craftsmanship of wood working to the original sanctuary on McDonald Rd. Willie loved to watch his two grandsons, Hayden and Peyton's involvement in sports, rarely missing a game. He spent countless nights supporting his grandsons at the baseball and football fields throughout East Texas until his health declined.

He is survived by his wife Velma of the home in Tyler, 2 daughters: Debbie Pike of Whitehouse, Sheron Price and husband Sam of Tyler; 2 sisters: Mary Louise Bridges of Henderson, Betty Ruth Mayden of Grand Prairie; grandsons: Hayden Price and wife Cheryl of Midland, and Peyton Price and fiancée Anna Doan of Dallas; great grandchildren: Parker, Blakely and Olivia Price, along with numerous nieces and nephews and caregiver Gail Malone and a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Albert Jimmerson, and sister Opaline Wallace.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug 24, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
