Mrs. Herman Connery
Mrs. Olive Rebecca Connery, 88, of 1010 Fifth St., died at 10:35 a.m. yesterday in Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 14, 1885, at Newberne, W. Va., a daughter of the late Jasper and Virginia Hinzman Hersman.
She was first married to Osa Roy Connolly, who preceded her in death. One son and four daughters survive this marriage, Paul Connolly, Mrs. Dollie Hodge, Mrs. Wonema Becker and Mrs. Virginia Hodge, all of Marietta, and Mrs. Oakley Kilgore, Aberdeen, Md. Two sons, Herbert and Lynn and three daughters, Elsie, Pansie, and Boneta are deceased. There are 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
One sister survives, Mrs. Phillip Munn, Detroit. Three brothers and one sister are deceased. She was later married to Herman Connery, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Connery had lived most of her life in Ritchie County, W. Va. before coming to Washington County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Pullman, W. Va.
Survices will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Doudna & McClure Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
