William Blair, a highly respected colored man who lived on the highway west of town, passed away, Monday, April 29, in Galax hospital, after having been ill for several weeks.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Etta Blair, two daughters, two sons and five brothers. Floyd, Onnie and Roby Blair, of Galax, are brothers of the deceased.
Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 1 o’clock at Nuckolls cemetery, Oldtown.
