Patricia Anna Gorman, 86 (February 1, 1929 – August 15, 2015) went to her Lord in the arms of her daughter. Patricia was born and raised on the family farm near Kenmare, ND; one of seven children of Cecelia and Thoralf Thompsen. Patricia graduated from Kenmare High School in 1946. She then earned a teacher’s certificate from Minot State College and taught in a country school for four years.

She met Raymond Mosburg from Custer County, Oklahoma during a Kenmare harvest. They fell in love, married and moved to Weatherford, OK and farmed with Raymond’s family. After several years in Oklahoma, they moved back to ND to farm south of Coulee where they raised their daughter Tupi (Leilani). After her husband Raymond died in 1977, Patricia and Tupi moved to Kenmare. She then married Wally Gorman, who died a year after they were married.

She was devoted to her family and friends, helping out, entertaining and caring for them as much as possible. Along with her family, Patricia was passionate about her many dear friends that she enjoyed traveling with, playing cards, bowling, canning and baking…her cakes came straight from heaven. She loved listening and dancing to music, especially when her friends and relatives played for her. She was the ultimate follower of her nephew Patrick Erickson, keyboardist for Back Behind The Barn Boys. She had a quick wit and great sense of humor with a laugh that echoed…she was the Queen of one liners. While Patricia had only one child, she was like a mother to many, and was loved in return by many. Patricia will be remembered and admired for her endurance, courage, strength, kindness, and generosity.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Tupi (Leilani) Shannon and son in law Robert Shannon, Bismarck, ND; her granddaughters, Jessica Berg, Bismarck and Abby Schatz ,Mandan, ND, and grandson Steven Shannon, Bismarck; great grandchildren Sydney and Ian Berg, Bismarck; sisters Kathleen Erickson, Miles City, MT and Marjorie Pullen, Kenmare, and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband’s, Raymond Mosburg and Wally Gorman, her parents, and four siblings Sylvester “Sonny”, Donald, Elizabeth and Priscilla.
