Paul Richard Abel, 61, of Shelburn, Ind., passed away July 13, 2015, at Union Hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1954, in Terre Haute, to Richard E. Abel Sr. and Veneda Abel.
Paul was employed as a truck driver. He served in the United States Army. Paul enjoyed trains and airplanes and collected models. He liked fishing, camping, guns and travel and was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Marilyn Jividen Abel.
In honor of Paul's wishes, cremation was chosen. Graveside series are 2 p.m. Friday Aug. 28, at Roselawn Memorial Park. Janice Smith will officiate.
