Darrell W. Norton, 78, of Kingfisher died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Kingfisher Cemetery with the Rev. Debbie Burpo officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

He was born Sept. 29, 1936, at Big Four, to Roy and Grace Stallcup Norton.

He graduated from Big Four High School in 1955.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962, stationed in the Panama Canal.

He married Linda Hawkins Kubat on Sept. 15, 1973.

He retired from Cimarron Electric in 1997.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Survivors include one son, Brian Kubat and wife Angie of Dover; two daughters, Annette Pritchett and husband Randy and Ginger McVicker and husband Craig, all of Kingfisher; one brother, Roger Norton and wife Pam of Midwest City; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; one sister, Bernice Riches, and three brothers, Bruce Norton, Marion Norton and Roy Norton Jr.
