HEART TROUBLE PROVES FATAL TO BRUCE STILLIANS
Bruce M. Stillians, 44, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the home of his mother, Mrs. W. A. Stillians, on 5th Avenue. He had been critically ill with heart trouble since the last of November.
The funeral service will be held this Friday afternoon at the W. A. Stillians residence on 5th Avenue. Other funeral arrangements has not been completed at the time.
Bruce M. Stillians, son of W. A. and Tena Stillians, waas born May 12, 1889 in Clarinda. The family moved to Villisca early in his life and he has been a resident of this vicinity most of the time since.
On February 11, 1913, he was married in Omaha to Ruth Moore of Villisca. They established their nome in Villisca and later moved to Clearmont, Missouri, were Mr. Stillians operated a drug store for a year. They then returned to Villisca where Mr. Stillians associated with his father in operating the Stillians Drug Store here. After his father's death, he conducted the business alone for many years. At the time of his death he was employed as a salesman by the Des Moines cosmetic company and had been traveling for the company in Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, and four children, who are Janice, who is a student at Iowa State College at Ames, Jeanne, Betty, and Bruce Jr., who live at home. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Tena Stillians, and one sister and one brother, Miss Marjorie Stillians of Villisca and Dan Stillians of Red Oak.
