Mrs. A. Shaw Rites Monday
CHARLEVOIX -- Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Shaw, 67, former local resident, who died Thursday at the Munson Hospital in Traverse City, will be held at the Winchostor Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday, Reverend George L. Major will officiate and burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
The former Bernice Schooley, was born in Mt. Pleasant on September 26, 1898. She was married to Mr. Shaw on May 10, 1922 and they came here to make their home in Marion Township and later lived In Charlevoix. They left here in 1987 to make their home in Zephyrhills, Fla. for two years, when they returned to Traverse City to make their home.
She was a member of the Community Church of God.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Mary) Gregory, Mrs. Marvin (Ma rcella) Lauthner, both of Traverse City and Mrs. Robert (Mae Zella) Potter of Charlevoix; one son, George of Albion and 15 grandchildren.
The Martinson Funeral Home of Traverse City will be in charge of the service. Friends may call at the Winchester Funeral Home.
